Friday Featured Seller - KMWatkins

Sorry this was a little late getting to press on Friday, but I've had a topsy turvy weekend. Back to normal now! Without further ado, the featured seller this week is KMWatkins, Karen Watkins. Karen was able to achieve this awesome honor because she commented here. Her blog is also a fun read. Karen creates paintings, pillows and felted art with an animal theme. Like the name her blog, her creations are cute. Look at these.

Needle Felted Turtle

Owl Picture Pillow

Ocean Light Original Painting with Frame

I love the whimsical quality of these, especially the painting. Want to be lucky like Karen? Post comments on my blog this week and maybe this Friday this spot will be yours. :)

Quecraft

I was bouncing through Pounce today and came across Quecraft. Her shop is based out of Saigon and she sells interesting hair clips and sticks. I've never gotten my hair to stay with hair sticks (I have ultra fine hair so there you go) so I've admired those who can put their hair up in a bun and keep it there without a ponytail elastic.

Fan Hair Stick

Butterfly Hair Stick

Butterfly Clip

I like the last one the best. Nice shapes. I like the organic flow. What do you like? Leave a comment below. Tomorrow is Friday Featured Seller so make sure to comment if you want a chance at being featured!

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's a...

Mobile!

Betcha didn't see that one coming.

After finishing the ever famous bird mobile with a few tweaks in Research & Development to account for the use of dowel rods, I'm inspired to see what the Etsy community has for mobiles. And of course I couldn't just pick one seller. There are so many inventive mobiles out there!

Butterfly Mobile - Khamm75

Constellation Mobile, Large - TheWonderlandStudio

Cirques Mobile by Julie Frith - Foamobiles

Pretty neat! I love the butterfly mobile, I think that is so inventive to use up scraps of paper. Tell me what your favorite is in the comments below!

Flapperdoodle

I love the name. Flapperdoodle.

Flapperdoodle is getting a lot of love recently, apparently the shop was just voted "the most promising new shop on Etsy". I didn't even know that was a distinction, so that's pretty cool! What drew me (ha) to the shop was the illustration. If you read her shop profile you can read about the evolution of her art (and the shop names to go along). Very interesting read.

On to the flapper art!

Unlike Eloise, Ramona has mastered the hula hoop

Eloise time travels to 1963, but gets caught in the rain

Eloise goes for a ride on her Vespa

Minimalist yet cheeky. Love it. Let's support this promising shop and check it out. Leave some love in the comments! :)

MollyHatch

I've been reading a lot of Questionable Content lately, so as homage to the Northampton, MA location of the strip (a town that has some kickin' ice cream, music and art shops) I decided to feature an Etsian from there. Welcome MollyHatch, a wonderful shop filled with useful ceramic items like mugs and tumblers. The designs on her pieces are made with inlay, a ceramic process in which lines are drawn on the clay and filled with a contrasting colored slip. Nice! I love the look of these pieces.

Floral Mug

Large Mug With Bird

Floral Tumbler
Very nice. I'm off to teach some ceramics of my own, so enjoy these pieces, leave a comment and I'll see you all tomorrow!

Friday Featured Seller - JustShana16

Congratulations to JustShana16, this week's Featured Seller! The title of her shop is Sew Southern, which makes sense as she is from Lexington, Kentucky. Shana's shop is filled with flowers which you can use for a magnet, hairclip, brooch or what have you. I love the choices of fabrics and the button and thread embellishments. Very cute!

Miniature Molly

Miniature Grace

Chloe - Custom Colors

Stop by Shana's shop and read up on what she's all about, and if you want to be featured just like her, leave a comment before you leave today!

GingerSnappz

Apparently Gingersnappz got her start selling nursing covers to the masses, but that is not what drew me to her shop. I need hairbands. Oh, do I ever. You see, teaching a bunch of little kids to play in clay while trying to keep the hair out of your face equals clay in your hair. It's stylish. Even when you're running errands after class and are unaware of this fact.

So. Hairbands. Necessity.

Why I love Ginger's is because of her fabric choices. They coordinate well and I can see them going with a variety of outfits. I thought about trying to make my own but you know what, I'm going to support Etsy instead. Which is why I write about them here.

Here are my top three:

Berry Dots and Pink Wallflower

City Girl and Green Tree Peony

Tree Peony Lotus and Rainbow Sherbet

I love the bright colors. I'm hearting this for future use when I get my next paycheck. Tell me what your favorite is in the comments below. I pick the Friday Featured Seller tomorrow and you don't want to miss out!

FlowerPress

I feel like I've come across FlowerPress before and I meant to blog about it. They've been getting a lot of press between Decor8, Modish and Etsy's Storque plus many others (and now little ol' me). The shop out of Sydney features linen and cotton printed towels as well as prints and cards.

Golden Slippers Print

Teapot Print

Red Filigree Towel

The filigreed towels come in a variety of colors and look oh so stylish. No wonder FlowerPress is getting so much press! Tell me what you think in the comments section below.

Knap

Oh Knap! Coming at you from Tokyo, her shop features simple yet beautiful glass jewelry with a pop of color. I love the shape and the colors of glass. There are a mix of earrings and necklaces in her shop, all beautiful.

Shizuku Glass Earrings in Green

Pink/Purple Shizuku Necklace

Shizuku Glass Earrings in Red

Love that last photo. They look like two red berries, don't they? There are some other great colors on her site, lime green and a sweet navy. Check it out! Leave a comment too to share the love!

Berniolie

Some of you (unless you live Down Under and are currently in winter) may view me as crazy for salivating over warm capelets and fuzzy shrugs but I love them. Even in summer I love looking at them. When the weather starts to cool - beyond the out of season cooler July temperatures we've been having - that is the one thing I'm looking forward to. Scarf season! I've got scarves and scarflettes down, but what I really admire are capelets, shrugs and other fun things you can wear. Berniolie creates these lovely items in her shop and also sells the PDF in her other shop so you can give it a go. Now that's talent!

Seaweed and Blue Sky Stole

Black Lace Mohair Shrug

Fuzzy Peach Capelet

Mmmm, don't you want to just wrap up in one? There are so many others where that came from, so check out her shop to see more. It's not too early to get on the Friday Featured Seller train, so drop a comment too!

Congratulations to Teddy Started It, a cheerful natural health products shop based in Texas. She is this week's Featured Seller! I really loved reading all of her item descriptions as she has some interesting stuff - sweet dream spray for little and big kids alike, anti-itch cream and so on. Check it out!

Once Bitten Anti-Itch Cream

Love the packaging and the names. For more, check out her shop. Leave a comment if you'd like to be just like Teddy Started It, and have a great weekend everyone!

Just Mare

Seeing that I'm going to a ceramic supply place today to load up on more ceramic items that will eventually make it into my shop soon, I decided to feature Just Mare, the lucky duck who got the Featured Seller spot on Etsy's front page right now.

Why did I pick Just Mare? Decals, baby. Nothing makes me weak in the knees more than a carefully placed and intricate decal. And good craftsmanship and glazing choices, as you can see below.

If you haven't caught the interview yet, her feature is on Etsy's front page.

Flutterby Bowl II

House Sparrow Mug

5 Piece Sushi Set

There's so much more to see on her site, so check it out! Off to the ceramic supply store!

Disconsolator

Though I've tried, I've never successfully made a bound book or journal. Something about binding the spine to the covers just doesn't work well. So, I've been able to appreciate those artists that much more who can create beautiful journals. Disconsolator is one of those artists who has it down. I love the fabric selections, the craftsmanship, and the price. There is something for everyone.

Blue Flower Journal

Orange and Blue Eyes Journal

Perfect Little Heart Journal

There is so much more where that came from, bicycles, mason jars, fab prints and nature themes. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Fields of Aphelion

Fields of Aphelion has an interesting approach to photography, in that she takes multiple exposures of a subject in 35mm film and relies on chance to determine how the final photograph will turn out. The results are visually very appealing and dreamlike.

SeaSideSew

SeaSideSew (cute name!) creates fun iPod/iPhone/Blackberry sleeves out of interesting fabrics not commonly seen around Etsy. Some sleeves are water resistant, all are made from designer fabric, some have sleeves for earbuds. Perfect for your purse, bag, luggage or backpack, there is such a variety of fabric styles to choose from.

BB Glass Art

I've been wanting to feature some more glass artists on Etsy and I was pleasantly surprised to come across BB Glass Art. BB stands for glass artist Brendan Blake, whom along with his wife Shauna Blake create one-of-a-kind beads and jewelry pieces. The results are simply stunning. There are loose beads for sale to use with your own projects, along with completed earrings and pendants.

Serenity Blue Prisms

Smoky Lavender Effervescence

Radiant Night Prisms

There are so many lovely items to choose from in the shop. Take a moment and check it out, then post a comment here!
