Balanced

Balanced is one of those shops where I don't know how she does it, I'm not sure I want to know how she does it, but I love it and it is amazing.

I'm talking about these totally awesome cool beadwoven bracelets and other jewelry of course! You'd think with my mind for crochet I could get a sense of what end is up with these but I can't. And I think knowing her secret would ruin the mystique for me so I'm just going to sit back and admire. And show them to you so you can admire them as well.

Beadwoven Lattice Ribbon Bracelet - Sky Blue and White

Beadwoven Lattice Ribbon Bracelet - Fuzzy Green

Lavender Pearls, Light Rose Pearls, Copper - Cuff Bracelet - Spring Lavender

Ahhhhh love it. Share your love for these in the comments section.

KileyKoala

As a child, I had a thing for koalas. Now that I think back on it, I really don't know why. Maybe something about how they moved slowly and were so gosh darn furry it looked like you could pluck them off of their eucalyptus tree and hug them and squeeze them and call them George.

Ahhh. Sesame Street. So educational.

Anyway, I had the thought to search for octopi after reading Odd Fish and I came across this lovely octopus plush. He also comes with a coordinating gift set (a separate listing) for all you new parents out there.

Oliver the Octopus Plush

Kiley the Koala Plush

Jungle Animal Plaques, Set of 4

Awwwwww. Now I really can hug and squeeze this koala (but I'll pass on calling it George). Cute! :) Leave some love in the comments section for this new shop!

Crystal Campbell's Art

Crystal Campbell's Art is based out of Seattle, Washington. Crystal spent time in Hawaii and Alaska before coming back to Seattle with her family. Nature and the natural world are the subjects in her paintings. I love her style. The sky where it meets Mt. Rainier is just lovely. Crystal's shop is brand new to Etsy so I look forward to seeing more work in her shop. After finding her Mt. Rainier painting on the front page, it looks like she's off to a good start!

Nestkids

NestKids is a relatively new shop to the Etsy block, and what caught my eye was the graphically bold and colorful prints. I'm a sucker for typography and these items use it really well. Perfect for birthdays, birth announcements and a little something to add some color to your child's room whatever their age.

Count with Me 123 Apples Print

Custom Birth Print - Girls

Very cute. Love the modern clean design. What do you think? Let me know in the comments. You could be featured here Friday for participating!

Adorapop

Magical, mythical, whimsical. All these words describe Adorapop's shop. Under the name The Mymble's Daughter, the shop sells jewelry and pendants with steampunk, fairytale and storytelling roots, from Alice in Wonderland to other natural motifs. I found a few bird images I liked of course. :)

Alice in Wonderland Secret Door Pendant

The Ornithological Steampunk Pendant

Thaumatrope Illusion Necklace

I love all the little touches especially with the Alice in Wonderland pendant with the key and bead. These are fun to check out. Let me know which one you liked best.

Spinning Wheel Studio

As much as we don't like to think of it, winter will soon be here in the Northern Hemisphere. It may be 85 degrees now and hardly appropriate for a scarf, but I've already started working on my Winter 2009 collection. So, that takes yarn. One of my happier discoveries is that you can buy handspun/dyed yarn on Etsy. Even more delightfully, I discovered Spinning Wheel Studio, a shop that spins fibers into beautiful skeins of yarn, sometimes utilizing yarn colored and painted by other Etsy artists. By buying from here, you're continuing the chain of Etsy teamwork into your finished piece. Love it! I also love these colors, so check these out.

Pretty Please 3 Skeins

Sand and Surf

Miss Rumphius

Awwww, it makes me want to buy more yarn right now! I need more funds in my Paypal account! Tell me what colors you like best (or if you knit or crochet, what skein you'd love best) in the comments below.

Everything Else?

I decided to go a different direction today when deciding what to feature. I was browsing through the categories when "Everything Else" caught my eye. Everything else? Is this like the "Beyond" in Bed, Bath & Beyond's store title? So, in puttering through the results I came across some interesting things. Instead of highlighting just one shop, let's have a random go at 3 items of interest, in no particular order.

Sushi Roll Up Scarf - Crocheted and Guaranteed FRESH

Crazy Car

Flower Circles Paper covered bottle opener 2.25 inches

Feel free to have a spin in the Everything Else category. There certainly is a range of products there (though I wish Graphic Design wasn't in that category but more of a standalone one, but I digress). Just a note of caution, the modest or those with kids probably don't want to look at the "weird" subcategory. Just sayin'.

What'd you all think? Leave a note in the comments below.

BlondeChick

I haven't had my ears re-pierced since I was a kid and they closed up due to an ear infection. I've been meaning to get them re-pierced, and earrings like the ones I just saw at Blonde Chick makes me want to run out right now and get that crossed off the list so I can wear them. Hot tamale! BlondeChick's studio features all sorts of handmade jewelry that just screams hip and stylish. I found her work on the front page and it's no wonder why. Cute!

Pink Rose Cabochon and Teal Medallion Bronze Necklace

Wavy Golden Leave Mesh Earrings

Patina Chandelier Black Leaf Earrings

Cute cute cute! See why I want the earrings right there? ^^^ Funky. :)

Leave some love about your favorite.

RedYellowandBlueInk

This shop was an oldie-but-goodie find for me as I thought I favorited this shop before with the intention of putting it on my blog. It must've gotten away from me. When I found RedYellowandBlueInk's shop again I knew I had to pounce. The shop is after my heart: bird themes AND cool repurposed supplies in the forms of traffic light discs. There are bird feeders and other items like towels in the shop. For the images Gocco and linoleum prints are used.
The other great thing is that with each purchase a partial amount will be donated to various causes like the Audubon Society, Nature Conservancy and Endangered Species International. Each listing specifies what cause is highlighted. Pretty cool.

Emerald Skies and Warm Sunshine Bird Feeder

Bird Feeder Basics 101 Feeder

Natural Flour Sack Towel, Gold Finch and Cosmos

Pretty cool! What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.

Tattoo Dreams

I decided to venture over to the "woodworking" category of Etsy to see what's been going on over there and found these wooden boxes made by Tattoo Dreams out of Indiana. The concept is simple, stamping different images and words on to a wooden box (almost like 3D scrapbooking) and then turning the object into a functional yet beautiful piece. Plus, there are other objects too like cat scratchers that are really innovative.

Garden Box

Cat Scratcher Pad

Artist Box

Pretty nifty! I thought it was a nice spin on something we've seen before yet in a new way. Share your thoughts in the comments below. Maybe you'll be featured this Friday?

Pieces of Pine

After you look at the banner of Pieces of Pine's Etsy shop, you'll be envious of the tree filled view of this lucky Etsy seller's sewing room. What an inspiration. This shop is filled with colorful, detailed, textured quilts that are perfect to hang on your wall, give for a baby/toddler birthday or shower, or just to have around the house. The craftsmanship is beautiful and I love the touches of whimsy that are in these quilts.
