Melbry

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Melbry is hip in a way that I wish I could be hip. Her work looks so funky and edgy. I love it. I bet she was an eclectic art student, the kind just by looking at her you knew she made art. (I was never that kind of art student). She makes scarves out of fabric swatches and connects them in a way it looks like they were meant to be. And being based out of Indianapolis, you'll need a scarf or two. Each scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece, and if you live in the Ohio or Illinois area downstate you might be so lucky to try on a piece in-store. Imagine yourself in one of these...

Flandersfield

It may be a cold and snowy November where I am, but looking at Flandersfield's photography you'd think it is already spring. The colors are so bright and cheery it'll make anyone's day. Behind the lens is Jenny Flanders out of Washington State. She has photographs in her shop in a variety of colors and sizes. She's also a member of a bunch of teams including Photographers of Etsy, EtsyMOM, and EtsyRAIN - a Seattle based group. Check these out and feel your day brightening.

Doris and Delva

Today I'm doing a bit of two shop promotion. The first shop is Doris and Delva. Puttering around her shop, I realized she has a second store, Little Whirl. Doris and Delva features handmade resin jewelry. Little Whirl features home decor for kids along with kids quilts. I've shown a combination of both stores so you can get a feel for what each offers. I think my two favorites are the red stack necklace and Lincoln quilt. They seem so whimsical and fun.

Sarah Jane Studios

Sarah Jane Studios is quite possibly the cutest thing you could ever see on a Monday morning. She is one of Etsy's most popular shops, even making it onto the front page as a Featured Seller. It's easy to see why. Her softly colored illustrations of children at play remind me of early Winnie the Pooh books. Her images are perfect for nurseries and playrooms. If you're looking for a perfect shower gift for that mom-to-be, look no further. There are so many cute prints and card sets to choose from. However, if you just can't decide, Sarah Jane also has gift certificates. A great choice for the holiday season.

Friday Featured Seller - Kerstin Hanson

Kerstin Hanson is today's featured seller. Based out of North Carolina, she makes jewelry partly inspired by her love of beads and large bead collection. The results are quite pretty. She has only been selling since August and she already has over 20 sales. It's easy to see why. There are plenty of styles, colors and shapes to fit your budget. I've picked three I like best.

Elijah Aller

I want to say that this is my first Etsy glass artist on this blog. What an honor then, to feature Elijah Aller. His shop is filled with awesome handmade and handblown glass items. He has ornaments, cocktail glasses, jewelry, and much more. He even had wine glasses (that I oh so coveted) and a beautiful sun catcher/essential oil holder that was lovely. Check out his sales page for more that he does. He is truly very talented and I'm glad to see he is on Etsy.

Niknod

Yay for today's seller, Niknod! Another Artsy Danger Ladies teammate, her shop features cute-as-a-button crocheted hats and gifts for kids. She's even been a finalist in the Handmade Kids Etsy Challenge, quite an accomplishment given the number of entries it generates. Of course, what makes her shop extra cute is her adorable model, her daughter. All of her hats are available in various children sizes and she's been popular for custom work. Check it out!

Page Pottery

More pottery this week! Woo hoo!

Today's selection comes from Page Pottery, a husband and wife team operating out of their converted horse barn studio in the hills of North Carolina. The area sounds beautiful, as are the wares in their shop. There's something for everyone, a wide selection of kitchen products like salt and pepper shakers, casseroles, mugs and bowls. There are even garden planters and sake sets. Most of their work is high fire but they also feature raku selections. To see more, you can also visit their website for more.

Made With Love By Hannah

It's Monday. I was feeling meh until I went to see who would be my Monday blog pick and I immediately got happy cause it was Made With Love By Hannah. I think I saw her skirt once on the front page and I fell in love with it right there. How fun and cute are these? I want to get one and just twirl in it all day. I'd be the hit of my German Club meetings. Hannah also has prints that she sells. Check out her fun and festive Etsy shop and leave some love about what you like best.

Friday Featured Seller - FlashFrame

Today's (or should I say tonight - it's been a long day) featured seller, supporter of this blog and fellow Artsy Danger Lady member is FlashFrame. She's also been an influential force in creating the Artsy Danger Ladies blog. Her shop is filled with interesting photographic prints, notecards and keychains. Her robot prints are pretty popular, I must say. :)

Flight Fancy

Every time I look at Flight Fancy's shop, I become a little kid in a candy story. I want this, and that, and that and that and everything. I need a lot of disposable income, basically. I love the style of her necklaces how she arranges the beads geometrically into these really awesome shapes. Love. Pure and simple. I love love love her stuff.

Radrb8vicki

I see Radrb8vicki in Etsy Chat (when I'm on). She is the first seller I've seen that sells paper beads and turns them into the neatest things. I have never seen a paper bead purse done so well, have you? Her shop features many things including loose paper beads for your own projects, baskets, purses and jewelry. The color combinations she chooses can be used for so many applications. I want to buy some loose beads but can't make up my mind! Check these out:

DAH Ceramics

It's a ceramic day, so prepare for much gushing on the part of me.

Ready? Let's go!

The seller I'm featuring today is DAH Ceramics. The DAH stands for Dara Anne Hartman. She received her MFA from a school in Montana and had a chance to study at the Archie Bray Foundation. For all the non-ceramic artists reading, that is like the place you want to study if you're into ceramic art. Ceramic heaven. I'm glad to see there are such accomplished ceramic artists selling on Etsy.
Dara's shop features slip cast vases and tumblers and even some wall tiles. When you see the wall tile you will know, if you know anything about my work, that this is so up my alley. Let's have a look-see.

Lake

Lake is a cool shop. Short for Julie Lake, the designer, her shop features handmade metal jewelry that is shapely, organic and modern all at the same time. She offers earrings, rings, pendants and even hair sticks. She's been on Etsy since 2007 and racked up a ton of sales. Let's look at some of her work and you can see for yourself why her work is so popular.

Morava

I'm going out of town this weekend so I'm skipping the Friday Featured Seller part to my blog this week. However, I didn't want to leave you all without a new post to read, so I am featuring Morava. I have bought from her store before and I can be the first to tell you that if you are looking for gloves for the holidays for yourself or others, she is the person you need to talk to. She made me a pair of acrylic gray mittens that are amazing. I worried at first that maybe acrylic wouldn't be warm enough but already this season I've had a few chances to wear my mittens and they are great. I couldn't be happier. Plus they have a cool cable design going down the front which looks stylish with any coat I pair them with. She has tons of colors to choose from and she is wonderful to work with so if you go to her site and see something you love but you want another color, don't hesitate to ask. She makes other cold weather gear, some of which I'll feature below.

AmyHatch and JunkyardGypsy

As a shout out to AmyHatch and JunkyardGypsy for featuring me in treasuries that got back to back front page viewings, they're both getting featured on my blog. One good turn deserves another, I say.

I'll start first with Amy. She is based out of Washington state and has been on Etsy since 2007. Her shop features beautiful handmade jewelry that gives off a feeling of romantic vintage. Soft colors and a delicate simplicity highlight the pieces.

JunkyardGypsy is based out of North Carolina and has a blog, if you'd like to follow along there. She scours estate sales, auctions and other places looking for pieces to incorporate into her recycled art aesthetic.
