Anyone looking at my shop knows that I have a soft spot for ceramic art and I have quite a few ceramic favorites on my list. One of the first artists I found on Etsy was gr8clay. I love the surface decoration of his work as well as the colors! For anyone who isn't experienced with clay, getting such beautiful reds is really hard to do. All of his works are porcelain which is also tricky to work with but the results in this shop are simply beautiful. Check it out!

Patapri and Ilovepinkdots
It's a two for one special today on this gloomy Monday. The weather wasn't always like this Saturday when I met these two sellers at an art walk in downtown Chicago. Beautiful weather and beautiful work, who could ask for more?
The first seller I met was Yuko from Patapri. She screen prints her modern, geometric and colorful designs onto pillows, dishtowels and cards. I bought two of her cards over the weekend. They're as pretty in real life as they are in the picture. Just take a look at some of this goodness:
Spring Tree Card
Blue Fish Dishtowel
Pillow Covers
The second seller I met was Tiffany from ilovepinkdots. Her studio was right around the corner and it was interesting to see two different artists putting on their own style and spin with the same media.
Brown bird/pink dots teatowel
Brown skateboard on yellow teatowel
Turntable teatowel
Both of these sellers have impeccable craftsmanship and are super friendly to talk to. I always encourage to buy handmade but if you're in the area, I highly recommend to shop local and support these two wonderful shops.

Featured Friday Seller - Novitajulien
NovitaJulien has been on Etsy since 2007, and sells handmade bags and purses from Switzerland. She is active on a couple Etsy teams and on the forums and chat, which is how I found her shop. My personal favorite is the Orange Damask bag which is also very trendy for this season. Along with her support of Etsy teams, she is also selling a couple bags in support of ending SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It is always wonderful to see Etsy sellers supporting charitable causes. :)

A Good Cause
A few weeks ago I came across a request in the Etsy Forum asking for donated items to help put together a basket for an auction. Sept. 20th, the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition had a Run/Walk and Silent Auction. Etsy seller MillieDogDesigns put the basket together and I think she did a wonderful job. I donated a gray scarf which you can see in the first photo. You can read all about the effort here. :)
Shout Out to my Danger Ladies
My fellow Danger Lady Flashframe, as mentioned below, not only snagged a treasury but also wrote up a really great blog post describing the rest of our team and giving a breakdown of all our shops. Since I can't mess with that kind of success, I wanted to link to that post so everyone can read all about our team here.
Microcosm
If I had a a million dollars... C'mon everyone, sing it with me! If I had a million dollars (to spend on Etsy), I would buy the rest of Microcosm's work. Her shop used to be Srussart where the first two pictures are from, but then she moved shop over to Microcosm. I'm in awe of anyone who can weave/crochet wire like this.

John Golden
Going through my favorites on Etsy is like a trip down memory lane. I remember where I was sitting when I found this shop, and right then and there I wanted to buy about 10 things. John Golden's shop is amazing. The amount of work he has to offer is monumental. 400 items! Everything from town signs to robots to birds to scooters and whimsical animal prints, there is something for everyone. I'm really glad to see that there are digital artists on Etsy. His work is both unique yet familiar with the subject matter he chooses. I love the vintage retro feeling he imparts in his work. You'll see what I mean with these images.

New items in my shop!
I designed these cards a few months ago and then ordered some cellophane wraps for my cards and envelopes to fit into. I finally got the wraps the other day. I'm ready to start selling cards!
Here are a few examples:

Joom
I think I found Joom from browsing around some Storque articles. Or maybe I saw a picture in the Recently Updated List on the front page of Etsy. Either way, I immediately noticed the bold colors and clean designs of her work. Turns out everyone else has too! If you visit her profile you can see the many places her work has been featured, including a spot on the Rachael Ray Show! Check these out and you'll see why:

Framed Orange Birdie Print
Love Birdies Card
I still haven't made up my mind what to get, there is so much good stuff.

First post, fourth treasury!
Aw yeah! It's my second month selling on Etsy and I got word I made it into my fourth treasury! It was put together by my co-Danger Lady, Flashframe. I really love the collection of items that she put together if I do say so myself. :)
Check back tomorrow when I start featuring an Etsy seller each day during the work week. It'll be awesome!
