Parallax Photography

I've enjoyed reading Parallax Photography's contributions to the comments section of my blog, and her effort has paid off in being picked this week's Friday Featured Seller! {applause}

Parallax Photo comes to us from Holyoke, MA. Subsequently you will find many pleasing images of Western MA, a place dear to my heart. See below to see what I mean. I had a hard time figuring out what images to pick for my feature as there is quite the selection to choose from. Nature, still life compositions, architecture. There is something for everyone. Hop on over, check out her shop and return the favor and leave some love so she can see it. Your comments for this post get considered for next week's feature drawing so don't be shy!

On to the images...

Pilot Design

This was another front page find that I just found recently. Keith of Pilot Design features fusion between 3-D work and graphic design with the results of practical and funky clocks. I've never seen anything like these anywhere and I really hope that this designer will be able to sell his work in stores beyond Etsy.

A Request

I just want to put this out there, but if anyone is needing design work to be done, read all the details here.

Thanks! :)

And Furthermore...

I saw And Furthermore...'s work on the front page of Etsy. I was mesmerized by the patterns of her clocks made from all reclaimed materials. So inventive! These creations are brought to you by Brenda Rose, who has another shop by that name on Etsy.

Cserdan

Cserdan is today's shop to feature. I've been looking forward to featuring her because there is something about the way she photographs her handmade jewelry that makes me smile. The colors are so luscious and bright. She has some other shops - Under a Blue Sky Photography and Cache Bead Supplies.

A Soft Sea

Wild Thistle

Under a Pichola Sky

See what I mean? Lovely! Bright! Beautiful! Which would you pick? Let me know in the comments.

Irene Suchocki

Irene Suchocki calls her work little poems for the eyes. Her photographs evoke a quality that make you wonder if you dreamt the scene. She sums it up best: I like to explore the ethereal, the surreal, the whimsical, the mysterious, and the beautiful. Her work has been featured in various locations and books. To learn more beyond Etsy, you can visit her personal page, http://www.irenesuchocki.com

Fashion Refined

Fashion Refined says it all. Originally called Studio 9 (which is what I had the shop first favorited under), the shop has been taken over by Katie, a photographer for a beading company. The rest of the time she works on these wood pendants that feature various nature themes, pattern and simplicity that are so oh chic. These pendants are everywhere, including New Zealand, Australia, Canada and various places in the United States. Let me just say it was a challenge narrowing down my favorite 3, and believe me you could spend an afternoon looking at the inventory.

Here's what I chose:

Illa

Chanel

Inca

EllyNelly

EllyNelly is a fun shop name to say and visit. Full of interesting designs to put up around your house, you may need to adopt a new year's resolution to change up the decor in your home so you can put one of these graphics somewhere. Elly and Nelly are actually a mother daughter team. Together they are a powerhouse of creativity. Check these out:

Of Paper and Thread

When you first visit Of Paper and Thread, you may wonder where the paper is. Well, the answer is that Danielle, the designer of the shop is a textile designer who sketches her ideas out on paper first and then transfers them to fabric. Ta-da! Based out of Australia, her prints feature nature themes printed in bold colors that are available in small swatches or in larger pieces to fit your crafting needs. You can read all about it at her blog.

Red Ruby Rose

Many of you may remember Red Ruby Rose from her featured seller interview. That is how I found her shop, and I was blown away at the variety of the fabric that she uses. Rowena, the force behind the shop, studied textiles in college and her knowledge shows.

Blue Slinky Clutch

Lovely, aren't they? Tell me which one you want in the comments below.

New Items In Shop!

So it's been awhile since I've updated my store, I've been quite swamped lately. However, I've been making things over the holidays and now I've posted them ready to share with you all.
The best part is that I have a sale going on with my scarves and scarflettes - buy one and get one half off through the end of the month. When you place your order I'll send a refund through Paypal. How easy is that?

Here are some teaser shots:

So let me know what you think. Visit my shop, have a look around and post a comment here. Thanks! :)

Friday Featured Seller - Morning Sky Jewelry

This week was the first week of my new school semester and consequently to say after getting used to my new schedule I lost track of time! I woke up this morning and thought, where is my daily post? only to realize it was Friday and I have to pick the daily feature!

So...drumroll please...

The Friday Featured Seller is Morning Sky Jewelry! Run by Mary Ann, she designs chainmaille, crocheted beaded jewelry and woven beaded jewelry. I can't do an accurate job of describing these pretty things, so let's get to showing off the pictures so you can see for yourself.

Purple and Copper Crochet Bracelet

Japanese Flower Chainmaille Earrings

Peach Beads and Pearl Crocheted Bracelet

I tried to take a pretty good selection of chainmaille and beaded items but there are many things in the shop so go check it all out and tell me which is your favorite!

Crickets Creations

Cricket's Creations is today's featured shop. Run by Celeste, her creations are funky, colorful and vegan scarves made from non-animal fibers and ribbons. I've seen CricketsCreations on the Etsy boards and her inventory is amazing. Check these out for inspiration:

Lime Green Fettuccine Scarf

Burgundy to Orange Fire Scarf

Hot Pink Scarf

There is much more where that came from, and the best part is you can wear many of them year round. Tell me your favorite in the comments section.

Siren Jewels

One of the great things about poking around everyone's shops on Etsy is seeing how the sellers take a theme and run with it, constantly reinventing it over and over into new shapes, forms and ideas. Siren Jewels is a perfect example of this. The woman behind the work, Melissa, started out studying graphic design but fell in love with metal smithing. Her love for the medium is evident in her work. She has many many items in shop and it just so happens all of the ones I picked fell into a nature theme.

Princess and the Pea Ring

Peapod Pendant

Four Points Bangle

We Think We Can

We Think We Can reminds me so much of the "I Think I Can" phrase from The Little Engine That Could. The shop is comprised of Jenn and Sara, two best friends who collect some pretty awesome stuff if I do say so myself. The milk glass items are worth a visit to the shop alone. There are a lot of things to look at but I did my best to pick 3 items that best represent what you'll find. It was hard! :)

Vintage Silver Basket

Vintage Owl Trivet

Milk Glass Pedestal Bowls

Miss Lo

It should be evident by now how much I like ceramic art, and I am quite pleased I can start this Monday off with a ceramic post. Today's ceramic items are brought to you by Miss Lo. Her work stands out due to the beaded glazes she uses. I first saw her work on the front page of Etsy and her work is quite popular. There are mugs, plates, even gift registries. Check it out!

Friday Featured Seller - Jqline

Other than Canada, I don't really get a lot of international visitors to my blog, much less have an international Etsy artist for my Friday Feature. So, congratulations to Jqline and her Etsy shop all the way in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jacqueline, or Jqline as she's known, makes handmade appliques for onesies, featuring anime inspired designs. She could probably explain the meanings better than I could, but I've picked three designs I thought were interesting.

Hope the Angel Kitty Headband

I Heart Chibi Penelo Onesie

Pickle the Piglet Onesie

Definitely unique! Which do you like? Tell me in the comments below.
